A Ringover alternative built for the medical practice front desk
If you are looking for a Ringover alternative for a medical practice, start with who each product was built for. Ringover is a cloud phone system for sales and customer service teams, and its own site describes an AI voice agent that answers incoming calls, qualifies requests and transfers calls. ClinicAll does a narrower job: it answers your practice’s phone the way your front desk would.
This page compares Ringover’s AI features only, not the rest of its telephony. Each cell of the table comes from a page Ringover publishes, with the link beside it, and nothing is scored. Where Ringover’s pages say nothing about a point, the table records that and we do not guess.
For a practice, ClinicAll vs Ringover depends on how appointment requests and calls the desk cannot take are handled. It also depends on who writes and maintains the receptionist’s instructions. The sections below take each point in turn, and the comparisons hub sets this page beside the other options we describe.
Who each one is for
Ringover suits a team that wants one provider for its numbers, its users’ lines and an AI agent on top. Its pricing page lists phone-system plans that include the AI receptionist, priced per user, with a commitment period and a minimum number of users. Airo Voice, the agent on its own, is sold as monthly bundles of minutes or pay as you go, according to Ringover’s AI voice agent page.
A practice that already runs its desk on Ringover can add the agent without changing its phone system. That counts for something when the lines and the users are already set up the way the team likes them. The agent then sits in front of a system your staff already know.
Ringover’s agent is configured by its customer. Its help centre walks through setting the steps and parameters of the voice menu, and another article explains how the Airo agent handles appointments. This fits a practice where someone enjoys building call flows and adjusting them after each week of calls.
ClinicAll is for a practice whose desk is short of hands and has nobody spare to build call flows. Our team writes the receptionist’s instructions with you, from your opening hours, your services and your rules for urgent calls. The team that puts the receptionist in service and then answers your questions works in French, from Luxembourg.
Calls to a practice are not sales calls, and the receptionist is shaped around that. It gives no medical advice and applies your emergency rules, as your practice has set them. When a caller asks who is speaking, it says it is the practice’s virtual receptionist, and it never claims to be a person.
Appointments depend on the software your practice uses. With the Mikrono integration, the appointment is in your diary at the end of the call. With XEYEX, the receptionist holds a slot and your team confirms it. With other software, appointment requests arrive as callback requests and your team calls patients back to confirm them.
A patient who wants to change a booking gets a request taken, not an action. It never moves or cancels an appointment itself: your team confirms. The request appears in your dashboard with the caller’s number, a summary of the call and the transcript, so whoever picks it up knows what was asked.
The receptionist transfers to the desk when it is staffed and a transfer line is configured; otherwise it takes a callback request. Which of the two suits your hours is a choice worth making on purpose, and our guide to transferring a call or taking a callback sets out how practices decide.

Where Ringover is the better fit
Languages are the first place Ringover goes further. Its AI voice agent page states that the agent works in several languages. ClinicAll detects the caller’s language, but French and English are verified on lines already in service, and we validate any other language on your line before go-live.
If your patients call in many languages, ask each vendor to show its agent in the ones your desk hears most. Use the same appointment request each time, and listen to how the name, the reason for the call and the preferred time come back. That tells you more than either vendor’s page.
Ringover lets you try its agent before you pay. Its AI voice agent page offers a trial and a pay-as-you-go option with no subscription and no minimum term. ClinicAll has no free trial: we show the receptionist during a 30-minute call, and the price is quoted in writing afterwards, as the pricing page explains. As for the term, it is set in the written quote, before go-live; every plan has a minimum term.
Hosting is another point where Ringover’s published terms are more direct. Ringover’s data processing agreement places storage infrastructure in France and voice servers in the Netherlands. It also lists an AI provider in the United States. ClinicAll’s security page lists each processor and where it processes data, and the voice AI (speech recognition, language model and voice) is hosted in the United States by default.
If EU-only hosting is a condition for your practice, settle that before comparing anything else. Our guide to GDPR and a voice assistant in a practice lists the questions to put to any vendor. Ask each one for its list of processors and where each one handles call audio.
Ringover is a full phone system, and ClinicAll is not. Ringover’s site explains how to keep your existing numbers when you move to it, and its plans are built around each user’s line. ClinicAll’s receptionist has its own number: you forward calls from your current number to it, all the time or only when your team is busy.
Appointments are covered on Ringover’s side too. A Ringover help centre article explains how the Airo agent manages appointments, reading real availability before it books. Ringover’s pages do not say whether the agent takes callback requests or how it treats a medical question, so the table marks those points as unstated.
Control is the last difference. Ringover’s help centre shows how to set the steps of the voice menu yourself, and its agent sends call summaries, so a team can change a greeting and hear the effect the same day. With ClinicAll, your dashboard shows each call with its summary, and changes to the receptionist’s instructions go through our team.
Before you speak to either vendor, it helps to know how many calls your desk loses today. The missed calls calculator gives an estimate from your own figures, which is a fair basis for weighing any quote.
